Biography
Lilitha Buti is a creative spirit, a storyteller and a weaver passionate about the sacred relationships between people and more-than-human-beings. She is also the co-founder of Afromation, a project connecting youth in Cape Town to share how they feel, what they do, and know about climate change. Lilitha is curious about the ways nature education and conservation practices can be re-imagined towards honouring and embracing relationality, interbeing and environmental justice, particularly in the South African context. She holds questions about how land holds memory, how plants can be teachers, and the possibilities that another world is plantable. She loves to sing, make art and spend time in community with her human and more-than human friends.
